Roosevelt Middle School Steam Boilers

Project Overview

ICA partnered with Industrial Steam Boiler Corporation to upgrade the heating infrastructure at Roosevelt Middle School in Hawthorne, NJ. The project featured two field-erect Scotch Marine boilers with ST Johnson power burners.

Field-erect boilers were selected specifically because the boiler room access could not accommodate pre-assembled factory units. The boiler components were fabricated offsite and welded together inside the boiler room — enabling full-capacity equipment installation despite significant spatial constraints. This approach delivered maximum heating capacity within the existing mechanical room footprint.
