Heat Trace Cable
In Stock & Ready to Ship
ICA Heating maintains in-stock inventory of Thermon heat trace cables, controllers, and accessories for immediate delivery across New Jersey and New York. No lead times — your project stays on schedule.
The Right Cable,
Right Now
When your project needs heat trace cable, waiting weeks for delivery isn't an option. ICA Heating stocks the most commonly specified Thermon cables — self-regulating, power-limiting, and constant watt — along with controllers, thermostats, and connection kits.
From a simple pipe freeze protection retrofit to a complex industrial temperature maintenance system, our engineering team designs, supplies, and installs complete Thermon heat trace solutions across NJ and NY.
Heat Trace Cable
Types & Specifications
We carry the full Thermon range — from self-regulating cables for everyday freeze protection to mineral-insulated cables for extreme industrial temperatures.
Self-Regulating Cables
Automatically adjust heat output based on ambient temperature — delivering more heat when it's cold and less when it's warm. The most versatile option for freeze protection, temperature maintenance, and roof & gutter de-icing.
- Technology: PTC polymer core self-regulates without external controls
- Maintain Temp: Up to 200°C (392°F) depending on model
- Applications: Pipe freeze protection, hot water maintenance, snow/ice melting
- Install: Field-cuttable to any length; safe to overlap
Power-Limiting Cables
Designed for elevated temperatures and high-exposure conditions. HPT power-limiting cables use PTC technology to allow safe cable overlap during installation, simplifying complex layouts on vessels and large-diameter piping.
- Technology: Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) power-limiting
- Maintain Temp: Up to 210°C (410°F)
- Applications: Chemical processing, high-temp piping, vessel tracing
- Install: Cable overlap permitted — simplifies field installation
Constant Watt Cables
Deliver uniform heat output independent of ambient temperature or circuit length. Parallel constant watt (FP) cables eliminate inrush current concerns and can be field-cut to exact lengths with simple termination kits.
- Technology: Parallel resistance with uniform watt/ft output
- Maintain Temp: Up to 65°C (150°F) for FP series
- Applications: Long pipe runs, consistent temperature maintenance
- Install: No inrush current — no power distribution oversizing needed
Mineral-Insulated Cables
MIQ series mineral-insulated cables with Alloy 825 construction handle the most extreme industrial environments. When standard cables can't take the heat, MI cables deliver reliable performance up to 500°C.
- Technology: Mineral-insulated, Alloy 825 sheath construction
- Maintain Temp: Up to 500°C (932°F)
- Applications: Refineries, chemical plants, extreme-temperature process lines
- Durability: Superior mechanical & chemical resistance
Commercial & Industrial
Heat Trace Solutions
Pipe Freeze Protection
Prevent costly pipe bursts and system downtime by maintaining pipe temperatures above freezing — even in the harshest NJ/NY winters.
Hot Water Temperature Maintenance
Maintain desired water temperatures throughout distribution piping without energy-wasting recirculation systems.
Roof & Gutter De-Icing
Self-regulating cables prevent ice dams and dangerous icicle formation on commercial roofs, gutters, and downspouts.
Process Temperature Maintenance
Keep chemical, pharmaceutical, and food-grade process lines at precise temperatures for product quality and safety.
Freezer Floor Frost Heave Prevention
Protect cold-storage facility foundations by preventing ground freezing in substrates beneath freezer floors.
Snow & Ice Melting
Embedded cables in walkways, ramps, and loading docks keep surfaces clear and safe — approved for direct burial in concrete and asphalt.
